Responsibilities
Data Migrations & Modeling
- Design and execute data migrations across systems (mapping, transformations, validation, and reconciliation).
- Analyze source and target schemas; plan and build robust data models.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across all environments.
- Build production-grade Python pipelines, APIs, and data management tools.
- Work in an agile environment supporting full SDLC: design deployment monitoring support.
- Implement CI/CD and continuous delivery practices.
- Work with distributed version control (Git/GitHub).
- Deploy pipelines/schemas into production using automated tooling.
- Develop secure, performant, well-tested data solutions.
- Utilize JSON, REST, and datacentered automation.
- Participate in sprint activities within a service-oriented engineering culture.
- Communicate effectively with team members across engineering, product, and leadership.
Languages/Frameworks
- Strong Python experience delivering production-quality pipelines.
- Hands-on building scripts/services for data movement & validation.
- Real SQL & NoSQL experience especially SQL Server and MongoDB.
- Strong data modeling and schema analysis capabilities.
Experience with any of the following (or comparable technologies):
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Data Lake
- Tabular Model / DAX
- Microsoft Fabric
- Git/GitHub (branching, pull requests, version control discipline).
- CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with:
- Data quality testing
- Test automation strategies
- Secure pipeline development
- B.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent).
- 5 years delivering production software/data solutions.
- 3 years in a Data Engineering or Data Science role.
- Strong communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Hybrid: 3 days onsite in Los Angeles.
