About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to lead our Data Warehouse Modernization initiative. In this role, you ll architect and drive the migration of legacy systems from IBM iSeries DB2 and IBM Sailfish to a modern, scalable, cloud-native platform on Snowflake. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design efficient data models, modern ETL/ELT processes, and scalable pipelines, while enforcing best practices in data quality, governance, and security.
Required Skills & Experience:
12 years of experience in data engineering, architecture, or related roles.
Strong practical experience with IBM iSeries DB2 and IBM Sailfish.
Expert level experience in Snowflake including advanced optimization and data modeling (star/snowflake schema, clustering, micro-partitioning).
Proven hands-on experience with DBT for transformation and Prefect for orchestration.
Solid background with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) services including BigQuery.
Deep knowledge of data warehousing principles, data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and performance tuning.
Very strong SQL skills and experience optimizing queries for large datasets.
Experience with Google Analytics data extraction and business reporting.
Experience designing and implementing Change Data Capture (CDC).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
