Data Analyst - Sr Data Analyst

Under general supervision, designs and implements processes and solutions associated with a wide variety of data sets used for data/text mining, analysis to enable informed business decisions. Gains insight into key business problems and deliverables by applying statistical analysis techniques to examine structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate sources. Uses current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management, via an increasing understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis.

Essential Functions

• Designing and implementing processes and solutions for data/text mining and analysis.
• Gaining insights into key business problems and deliverables by applying statistical analysis techniques to structured and unstructured data from various sources.
• Utilizing current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations for management.
• Continuously enhancing understanding of the business model and available information for analysis.
• Employing data, statistical and quantitative analysis, and fact-based management to drive decision-making.
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
  

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, engineering, operations research, economics or Finance. Related experience may offset degree requirements and related education/degree may offset experience requirements.

Minimum Experience

Two (2) years work experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem solving, operations analysis, marketing analysis, simulation development and/or predictive analytics.

Proficient in analytics software and applications.

Strong data analysis skills.

Foundational problem solving and insights skills.

Good Interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Good written and oral communication skills.

Pay: (FEC_E25 to FEC_E26) Pittsburgh, PA Pay Range: $5,960.29/month - $11,309.65/month

Additional Details: This position is domiciled in Pittsburgh, PA. Remote candidates will not be considered. This position is with the Transportation Logistics Department.
