Role Overview
We are seeking a Data Analyst with strong experience in SQL and Databricks to support data engineering, analytics, and reporting initiatives within a Databricks Lakehouse environment. The role involves data extraction, transformation, analysis, and dashboarding while working closely with business and technical teams in an agile setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Use SQL and Databricks for data extraction, transformation, and analysis within the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform
- Write and execute complex SQL queries using Delta Lake and Databricks features
- Ingest and manage data within the Databricks Lakehouse environment
- Perform ad-hoc and exploratory data analysis using Databricks SQL / SQL Editor
- Build dashboards in Databricks SQL; use Tableau when required for visualization
- Manage data objects, tables, views, and related assets in Databricks
- Collaborate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, refinements)
- Work with product owners and business users to clarify requirements
- Perform testing of data products across environments (DEV/UAT/PROD)
- Document data products, process flows, and business requirements
- Strong SQL (complex querying, joins, performance tuning)
- Hands-on experience with Databricks (Lakehouse, Delta Lake)
- Data ingestion and transformation experience in Databricks environment
- Experience with Databricks SQL / SQL Editor
- Dashboarding experience (Databricks SQL and/or Tableau)
- Understanding of data modeling and data pipelines
- Agile/Scrum experience
