Data Analyst – Databricks / SQL

Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite – 4 days/week required)

Duration: Now through September 2026

Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Analyst with strong experience in SQL and Databricks to support data engineering, analytics, and reporting initiatives within a Databricks Lakehouse environment. The role involves data extraction, transformation, analysis, and dashboarding while working closely with business and technical teams in an agile setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Use SQL and Databricks for data extraction, transformation, and analysis within the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform
• Write and execute complex SQL queries using Delta Lake and Databricks features
• Ingest and manage data within the Databricks Lakehouse environment
• Perform ad-hoc and exploratory data analysis using Databricks SQL / SQL Editor
• Build dashboards in Databricks SQL; use Tableau when required for visualization
• Manage data objects, tables, views, and related assets in Databricks
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, refinements)
• Work with product owners and business users to clarify requirements
• Perform testing of data products across environments (DEV/UAT/PROD)
• Document data products, process flows, and business requirements
  
  

Must Have Skills

• Strong SQL (complex querying, joins, performance tuning)
• Hands-on experience with Databricks (Lakehouse, Delta Lake)
• Data ingestion and transformation experience in Databricks environment
• Experience with Databricks SQL / SQL Editor
• Dashboarding experience (Databricks SQL and/or Tableau)
• Understanding of data modeling and data pipelines
• Agile/Scrum experience
