Core Engineering - Design Engineer III
Location: Sunnyvale, California (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $70 - $80 hourly
Role Overview
We are seeking a Design Engineer for a contract role. The position involves performing comprehensive power analysis at various design stages, from RTL to GDSII. The role will contribute to the development, improvement, and automation of power analysis flows and involve investigating power inefficiencies to provide feedback to the design team.
Key Responsibilities
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science is required.
Experience: Demonstrated experience with RTL-to-GDSII design flow usage and development in advanced technology nodes (7nm and below) is necessary. This includes expertise in low-power implementation and signoff, including power gating, multiple voltage rails, and Unified Power Format (UPF) usage. Proven experience in power analysis and reduction using industry-standard tools is also required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages, with an emphasis on Python and ML/AI frameworks, is required. A working knowledge of RTL design principles and experience in RTL power optimization using specialized tools are necessary.
