COBOL Programmer

Requirements:

• 7 or more years of experience in Mainframe application development and maintenance.
• Proficiency in MVS COBOL programming and debugging.
• Experience with IDMS Network and Relational database environments.
• Experience in JCL (Job Control Language) for batch processing.
• Experience with TSO/ADS and Changeman for source control.
• Experience with Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Analyze technical specifications to implement coding changes in COBOL and ADS.
• Debug, unit test, and perform integration testing on software modifications.
• Collaborate with Medicaid teams to support production systems and backfill efforts.
• Support Quality Assurance staff during QA, UAT, and external testing phases.
• Interact with IDMS network and relational databases for data processing.
• Participate in on-call rotations for critical production system support.
• Communicate effectively with operational staff and development teams.
