Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Cloud Security Architect to support cybersecurity engineering and identity-focused cloud security initiatives within a federal program.

This role focuses on supporting secure cloud architectures, identifying risks, and implementing security controls across cloud environments. The position is ideal for an early-career engineer with cloud security experience who is looking to grow within a structured cybersecurity and ICAM-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support design and implementation of secure cloud architectures
• Identify security risks and vulnerabilities and assist in developing mitigation strategies
• Assist with system security engineering across the lifecycle, including design, integration, and validation
• Support implementation and evaluation of security-focused tools and services
• Participate in assessment and mitigation of system security threats and risks
• Support validation of system security requirements and secure system design
• Assist in implementing security controls across infrastructure, applications, and data
• Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to support secure operations
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cloud security, cybersecurity engineering, or related discipline
• Experience supporting cloud-based environments and security practices
• Understanding of risk management, vulnerability management, and secure system design
  
  

Certifications

• DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (IAT Level II required)
• One or more cloud certifications (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Experience with software development using C or Angular
• Experience working with APIs and application integration
• Familiarity with ICAM (Identity, Credential, and Access Management) environments
• Experience supporting federal or defense programs
