DataStaff, Inc. is currently seeking a Cloud Network Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Raleigh, NC.
- This position is hybrid
- Support applications hosted in the cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-Prem.
- Troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues related to networking and security.
- Create firewall rules for environments.
- Assist the Operations and Cloud team as requested.
- Maintain and keep track of all technical duties related to cloud networking such as design, implementation, and support.
- Manage, monitor, troubleshoot and resolve network performance issues: utilization/throughput, slowness, and unexpected latency.
- 5 years - Extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto VM Series firewall and Panorama configuration and optimization
- 3 years - Experience with routers, routing protocols, transit gateways, load balancing, and overall cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, routes, security
- 5 years - Experience with security best practices and implementing security controls in a AWS cloud environment.
- 5 years - Experience with VPN technologies to include IPsec and SSL technologies.
- 3 years - Ability to work on large TCP/IP networks, design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with name services and resolution, associated IP assignments.
- Knowledge of core network services (including DNS, DHCP, and IPAM technologies)
- Possess strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud networking infrastructure issues.
- Self-motivated with strong team-oriented and collaborative attitude.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of cloud infrastructure components: compute, storage, network management, and monitoring (network and security)
- Knowledge of WAF as a Service (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
