Cloud & Data Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Canonsburg, MO that is seeking a Cloud & Data Engineer.

Summary:

The Cloud and Data Engineer plays a key role in shaping and sustaining the organization's cloud systems, data lake architecture, and backend service connections. Reporting to the Principal Architect and Technology Strategy Lead, this position is responsible for delivering robust, scalable solutions that support enterprise-wide analytics, automation, and operational reliability.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Technical degree in Computer Science, Software or Data Engineering is required, along with hands-on experience in cloud or data engineering roles where candidates have delivered production-ready solutions
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification is mandatory, or must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Familiar with multi-account AWS setups, enterprise-grade security, and cost management strategies
• Ability to independently design and deploy complete cloud/data solutions
• Experience integrating AWS data pipelines with ERP or financial systems is essential
• Proficiency with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, Glue, and Step Functions is expected, along with strong Python and SQL skills for data processing
• Experience working with RESTful APIs in backend systems and deploying infrastructure using Terraform within a GitOps workflow
• A solid understanding of data lake architecture, data modeling, and orchestration of batch and streaming pipelines is needed
• Familiarity with observability tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana, including alerting and dashboarding, is also required
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
