Luna Data Solutions is seeking a Cloud Application Developer & Kubernetes Administrator for a remote contract role from Texas. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building cloud-native Kubernetes applications and administration of Kubernetes clusters, particularly with RH OpenShift, in bare-metal environments.

• Remote from Texas (must currently live in Texas)

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with application development teams to deploy, scale, and manage cloud-native applications.
• Administer and maintain Kubernetes clusters on bare metal and OpenShift platforms.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cluster performance and reliability.
• Automate operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Helm).
• Ensure security best practices and compliance standards within the clusters.
  
  

You:

• Bachelor''s Degree: Computer Science or related field (required).
• 5 years of proven experience developing and deploying cloud-native Kubernetes applications.
• Hands-on experience administering Kubernetes clusters (bare metal and/or public cloud environments).
• Scripting skills for automation (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of networking, storage, and security within Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (preferred).
• Linux administration skills (preferred).
