Job Overview:
- Manage workers compensation claims from initiation through resolution while ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
- Evaluate claims, determine benefits, and coordinate return-to-work efforts.
- Maintain accurate documentation and foster strong client relationships.
- Manage workers compensation claims, determining compensability and benefits due.
- Monitor reserve accuracy and file required documentation with state agencies.
- Develop and execute claim action plans through resolution.
- Coordinate return-to-work efforts and approve claim payments.
- Process assigned claims and ensure compliance with client contracts and policies.
- Handle subrogation and negotiate claim settlements.
- Communicate claim status and actions with claimants and clients.
- Maintain accurate claim files and proper coding.
- Process complex medical claims, including necessary filings and treatment decisions.
- Support organizational quality programs and perform additional duties as required.
- Travel as needed.
- Minimum of 4 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of workers compensation regulations and processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet performance expectations.
- Knowledge of disability duration, medical management practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
- Analytical and interpretive thinking.
- Effective time management and prioritization.
- Bachelor s degree preferred.
