Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Civil Project Engineer, EIT, you will play a critical role in the design, planning, and execution of a variety of projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and overseeing construction projects, including commercial buildings, residential developments, and transportation infrastructure.
- Utilizing Open Roads software for the design and planning of roadway projects.
- Managing all aspects of drainage, paving, and other related tasks.
- Collaborating with a team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Preparing and presenting project proposals, reports, and findings to stakeholders.
- Implementing and adhering to all safety and compliance regulations.
- Identifying potential project risks and developing contingency plans.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in civil engineering and a proven track record of project management. Specific qualifications include:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil project engineering, with a focus on commercial, residential, and transportation projects.
- Proficiency in Open Roads or equivalent software.
- Experience with design-build projects.
- In-depth knowledge of roadway, drainage, and paving processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
