Responsibilities:
As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:
- Designing and overseeing construction of infrastructure such as roads, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, and systems for water supply and sewage treatment.
- Preparing detailed engineering plans, designs, and layouts, using Civil 3D and other design software.
- Conducting land surveys and preparing site development plans.
- Managing and directing construction teams and activities on the job site.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Evaluating potential project sites and assessing the feasibility of development.
- Ensuring all designs and projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Preparing and presenting reports, proposals, and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Applying expert knowledge of the design, construction, and maintenance of public works, such as roads or bridges.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in civil engineering, specifically in land development, site development, and drainage design.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D or similar design software.
- Experience with land surveying and site development planning.
- Valid Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Strong knowledge of civil, drainage, and sewage engineering principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
