Responsibilities -
- Design and oversee building-related civil engineering projects, including site layout, grading, stormwater management, utilities, and land development.
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and municipal officials to ensure projects meet design intent, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review construction documents, plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
- Conduct site assessments and provide engineering input from concept through project completion.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with quality and safety standards.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Kentucky, or the ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in buildings, site development, and civil design for vertical construction projects (not road or highway work).
- Strong knowledge of site grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater systems.
- Proficiency with civil design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with clients, municipalities, and internal teams.
