- Core Cisco route/switch network engineering
- Cisco Wireless configuration and support
- SD-WAN
- Technical Stack:
- Core Cisco switching (mostly Catalyst, a little Nexus)
- Cisco access points using Cisco wireless controllers
- Arista Velo SD-WAN (open to other SD-WAN technology experience)
- FortiGate Firewalls
- A few Meraki access points
- 80% of time will be core networking, wireless, and SD-WAN
- Core networking, route/switch, access switches, port configurations, etc
- Pretty even split of time between the core network and the wireless. The firewalls can typically be left alone.
- 20% might be other projects that pop up
- Project example: wireless refresh coming up at a site in about a month, will not need to physically do the refresh but may assist the vendor, ensure there is capacity on the switches, and make sure what the vendor is doing makes sense for their network.
