Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of capital projects, ensuring they meet the required standards and deadlines.
- Develop and manage project plans, including scope, time, cost, quality, resources, communication, and risks.
- Collaborate closely with various teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Apply your knowledge of food manufacturing processes, including HACCP, GMP, and canning, to optimize production.
- Use CAD and engineering design principles to create and improve manufacturing systems and processes.
- Conduct validation studies on equipment and processes, ensuring they meet food safety and quality standards.
- Implement Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage HVAC systems to ensure they meet the necessary requirements for food manufacturing.
- Provide technical support to the production team, troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
- Keep up to date with the latest food manufacturing technologies and trends, and implement these where appropriate.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry, with a focus on capital projects.
- Proficiency in CAD and other engineering design tools.
- Solid knowledge of food manufacturing processes, including HACCP, GMP, and canning.
- Experience with HVAC systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding and experience with Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
