- Set up and maintain data collection software and hardware, including OS/firmware updates and sensor connections.
- Perform basic software debugging (primarily C ), error analysis, and communicate findings with Research Engineers and Scientists.
- Support consumer device hardware bring-up and verify functionalities.
- Design and execute experiments to validate product quality and investigate hardware/software issues.
- Develop and commission automation procedures for robotics experiments.
- Perform device calibration using proprietary equipment.
- Operate complex measurement and test equipment.
- Document processes and techniques in collaboration with the core team.
- BSc/MSc/PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Aerospace Engineering, Optical Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Track record of software development following engineering best practices (C or Python).
- Hardware engineering experience or educational background (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Systems, Optical).
- Experience in system-level troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, optical, firmware, OS, and software failures.
- Experience in applied research or product development involving joint hardware/software design and integration.
- Experience designing and operating robotic systems.
- Knowledge of optics (imaging, illumination, radiometry, photometry, geometric optics, polarization).
- Experience with statistical methods for data analytics.
- Manufacturing engineering experience.
- Conversational proficiency in Mandarin.
