Key Responsibilities
- Create and update network models and system maps for electric distribution systems.
- Create accurate single-line diagrams, circuit layouts, and infrastructure maps, utilizing AutoCAD (including electrical and utility-specific add-ons).
- Use GE s built-in display editor to design and visualize network models for monitoring and troubleshooting purposes.
- Collaborate with engineers to model power lines, substations, transformers, feeders, and other electrical infrastructure components.
- Lead and mentor a small team of designers, guiding project progress and ensuring timely delivery.
- Support integration of network models with GIS systems (e.g., ArcGIS) for mapping and asset tracking.
- Participate in project planning, design reviews, and troubleshooting activities.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with AutoCAD, including electrical and utility add-ons.
- 3 years of experience designing and developing network display models for electrical distribution systems.
- Experience with GE s built-in display editor for network visualization and modeling.
- Background or good understanding of electric distribution infrastructure, including power lines, substations, transformers, and feeders within the utility industry.
- Familiarity with GIS systems such as ArcGIS for mapping and asset tracking.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to electrical distribution.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing or mentoring small teams of designers or engineers.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects effectively.
