Job Overview:
- Install, terminate, label, and test structured cabling systems including copper and fiber optic.
- Support cabling for LAN, Wi-Fi, voice, CCTV, access control, nurse call, and medical device systems.
- Perform cable testing, certification, troubleshooting, and remediation.
- Maintain accurate documentation including labeling, port mapping, rack layouts, and as-built records.
- Coordinate with network, desktop, biomedical, and facilities teams during deployments and upgrades.
- Support IT infrastructure projects across various operational areas.
- Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and change management standards.
- Work within defined service level agreements, incident management, and service request processes.
- Hands-on experience in structured cabling for copper and fiber systems.
- Knowledge of fiber splicing, testing, and certification tools.
- Experience with racks, patch panels, cable trays, and conduits.
- Basic understanding of network connectivity and LAN infrastructure.
- Ability to read and interpret floor plans and network diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- 2 5 years of experience in structured cabling or network infrastructure.
- Experience working in mission-critical or similar environments preferred.
- Experience working in healthcare or clinical environments.
- Understanding of safety, infection control, and low-voltage systems.
- Ability to work in a 24x7 operational environment.
- Strong technical and installation skills.
- Attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
- Ability to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Structured cabling or fiber optic certifications preferred.
- ITIL or safety certifications are an added advantage.
