We're hiring Data Center Cable Technicians to support structured cabling and infrastructure builds on a large-scale commercial project. What You'll Do
- Drop cable down walls using fish tape or other methods
- Route cable through the data center and perform pre-termination procedures (organize, dress, label, and determine slack)
- Suspend and support cable using trays, J-hooks, D-rings, bridal rings, and trapeze
- Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cable
- Perform fire-stopping procedures on fire walls, install sleeves, and pull cable through core penetrations
- Terminate low-voltage devices and follow prints accurately
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, etc.)
- Adhere to all safety standards and PPE requirements
- Work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including heights
- 2 years of commercial cabling experience
- Experience pulling and terminating fiber
- Familiarity with OSP and/or ISP operations
- Strong understanding of structured cabling and rack installation
- Ability to read and follow technical prints and color codes
- Steel toe boots and willingness to wear PPE (safety vest, gloves, glasses)
- Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
- Experience working on large-scale data center builds
- Familiarity with universal communications color codes
- Ability to work overtime and flexible hours
- Monday-Friday, 6 AM - 4 PM
- Overtime available based on workload
- Be part of a major data center build with opportunities to move across scopes or sites
