Robert Half is looking for a skilled Business Applications Manager to oversee and enhance core business systems for our client in the Madison area. This role is ideal for a hands-on IT leader who combines technical depth with strong project delivery skills and the ability to partner effectively with business stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Lead the administration, improvement, and integration of key business systems, including ERP, CRM, analytics, and workflow automation platforms.
- Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, ensuring effective allocation of resources, timely project delivery, and high-quality outcomes.
- Oversee full project lifecycles, from planning and execution to reporting and completion, to ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Collaborate with leaders across the organization to translate business needs into practical, technology-driven solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across interconnected systems.
- Use project management tools to track progress, monitor workflows, and generate reports.
- Provide training, guidance, and documentation to enable optimal system use and adoption.
- Create and maintain clear documentation for system processes, workflows, and technical procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 5 years of progressive IT experience, including 2 years of leadership.
- Demonstrated success managing technical or cross-functional initiatives; formal project management or agile training is a plus.
- Hands-on experience supporting enterprise business systems such as ERP, CRM, analytics, or integration platforms.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience using project tracking or workflow management tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
