job summary:

We are seeking a solution-oriented IT Business Consultant to bridge the gap between our business units and IT teams. In this role, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of data reporting-from gathering business requirements to developing the SQL backend. You will serve as the primary interface for assigned business groups, ensuring their operational needs are translated into efficient technical solutions while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

responsibilities:

• Responsible for the lifecycle of reporting from gathering requirements to developing the SQL and into support.
• IT business consulting activities for the business, serving as the primary interface between business groups and IT.
• Responsible for understanding the work processes of the assigned business group to meet business needs.
• Provides technical knowledge to ensure efficient design, development, implementation, and support of systems with programmers to explain solutions.
• Responsible for overall customer satisfaction, customer communications, analysis, problem resolution consultation, testing and development of solutions, and adherence to service level agreements.
• Workers at this level participate in project implementations to understand impacts to their assigned business groups.
• Responsible for working with assigned business areas to do regular prioritization and planning.
  
  

qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Or in lieu of a degree, 4 years of related business experience.
• Work experience in addition to degree: 1-3 years of related experience in business and or information technology systems analysis or support. Job-specific knowledge, skills or abilities: Minimum of 3 years experience in SQL development, support and troubleshooting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with customers, IT management and teammates.
• Demonstrated ability to gather requirements.
