Job Description:
The Building Automation Systems Integrator is responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of building automation systems that control HVAC systems.
Key responsibilities include:
Implementing building automation systems (BAS) to ensure optimal energy efficiency and user comfort. In this case the BAS is Iconics
Consulting with clients to understand their enterprise network and the relationship to/from the automation system.
Coordinating with HVAC engineers and technicians to integrate automation systems with existing building infrastructure.
Programming and configuring system controllers, interfaces, and input/output devices.
Performing testing and troubleshooting of automation systems to ensure they function as designed.
Maintaining and updating system documentation, including diagrams and maintenance schedules.
Providing training to building staff on the operation and maintenance of the automation system.
Monitoring system performance and making adjustments as needed to maintain optimal functionality.
This role requires a strong understanding of building automation technologies, HVAC systems, and various integration platforms.
Responsibilities:
Design, program, and implement building automation and control systems
Analyze and optimize system performance and energy usage
Troubleshoot and repair system malfunctions
Perform regular maintenance on control systems and associated equipment
Train facility personnel on system operation and basic maintenance procedures
Prepare and maintain system documentation, including operation manuals, drawings, and maintenance schedules
Stay current with advancements in building automation technology
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Building Automation Systems Specialist or similar role (Experience with Iconics a plus)
Thorough understanding of building automation systems, control strategies, and system design
Experience with BACnet and similar protocols.
Experience with enterprise networks and related security requirements. Integration of BAS into enterprise network.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Excellent technical and mechanical skills
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and facility personnel
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred
Relevant certification, such as Certified Automation Professional (CAP), may be required
