Kforce has a client in Maiden, NC that is seeking a BIM Modeler (Electrical).
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced senior SolidWorks (or similar) 3D CAD Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing detailed electrical drawings and models, and setting up models for electrical simulations in ANSYS or similar tools. Experience with electrical panel design, wiring harnesses, electronics equipment chassis development, and power distribution systems is preferred. Familiarity with equipment integration in building environments (process engineering, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, utilities, data centers, or similar) is a distinct advantage. The BIM Modeler will play a crucial role in the design and development of electrical solutions for production environments, working closely with our engineering and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed 3D models and electrical technical drawings using SolidWorks
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to refine electrical product designs
- Prepare 3D models for electrical simulations in ANSYS (or similar) to validate and optimize design concepts
- Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&ID as needed
- Manage and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) for electrical components
- Ensure all designs comply with electrical codes, industry standards, and regulations
- Document design processes and maintain accurate records
- Stay updated with the latest features and industry trends related to CAD and electrical design tools
- SolidWorks experience
- Revit experience (electrical experience strongly preferred)
- AutoCAD experience
- ETAP experience is highly desirable
- Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360 experience
- Navisworks experience
