The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining industrial network infrastructure within a transformer manufacturing plant environment.
This role bridges IT and OT (Operational Technology), ensuring reliable connectivity for production systems, factory automation, and enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Industrial Network Infrastructure
- Design and maintain plant network architecture (LAN/WAN, VLAN, routing, switching)
- Support industrial network environments (OT/ICS/SCADA systems)
- Ensure high availability and redundancy of factory network systems
- Manufacturing System Integration
- Support connectivity for:
- PLC systems
- MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
- SCADA / HMI systems
- Work closely with Automation / Production teams
- Network Security (Critical)
- Implement industrial cybersecurity standards
- Monitor and protect plant networks from cyber threats
- Maintain firewall, VPN, and access control systems
- Troubleshooting & Operations
- Diagnose and resolve network issues impacting production
- Perform network performance monitoring and optimization
- Provide on-site technical support for plant operations
- Project & Expansion Support
- Support smart factory / automation projects
- Participate in new production line setup and system integration
Required
- 3–8 years of experience in:
- Network Engineering
- Industrial / Manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of:
- TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, switching
- Cisco / industrial networking equipment
- Experience with:
- o OT/ICS environments (SCADA, PLC networks)
- Experience in:
- Smart Factory / Industry 4.0
- Network security in industrial environments
