Kforce has a client in Westlake, TX that is seeking a BI Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for consistent delivery of functional software - sprint to sprint, release to release
- Perfection in software development practices and procedures
- Participates in application level architecture - able to drive the solution
- Develops original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts
- Responsible for QA readiness of software work you are doing (end-to-end tests, unit tests, automation)
- Responsible for supporting implementation of initiatives
- Works on sophisticated assignments and often multiple phases of a project
- Assists in developing departmental technical policies and procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical subject area with at least 6 years of development experience
- Extensive experience in Reporting & Visualization, Data Analytics and Data engineering
- Expert-level knowledge of front-end architecture and frameworks using Angular, JavaScript and Typescript
- Extensive Experience in Power BI including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and custom visuals
- Good understanding of Embedding Power BI reports in Angular based web applications, including security, identity and access management
- Extensive experience in cloud platforms (Azure and AWS) including services such as Function Apps, Blob Storage, Azure Devops, Microsoft Fabric, EKS, RDS and S3
- Experience developing Python applications including APIs and Automation scripts
- Experience in Snowflake highly preferred
