Job Description

We are seeking an Application Developer with strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, REST API development, and data platforms to join our core development team. The ideal candidate will design and build scalable backend services, containerize and deploy microservices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes on schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and Java.
• Integrate with Oracle RDBMS and NoSQL databases, including Cassandra.
• Containerize services and manage deployments for existing and new APIs.
• Collaborate with development, QA, Scrum, business, and architecture teams.
• Work closely with offshore teams to plan, deliver, and report daily progress.
• Implement messaging integrations using Kafka or MQ frameworks.
• Apply TDD, CI practices, and code management via Git or similar tools.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Java/J2EE and object-oriented programming.
• Expertise with Spring ecosystem: Spring Boot, Framework, MVC, ORM, Integration, Batch, Services.
• Experience building SOA solutions and REST/SOAP services using JSON/XML.
• Exposure to cloud platforms and related services.
• Source control proficiency with Bitbucket/Git or Subversion (SVN).
• Experience with Maven, TDD, CI, and JUnit.
• Hands-on NoSQL experience with Cassandra.
• Experience with at least one RDBMS: Oracle or SQL Server.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or MQ messaging frameworks.
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tooling.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
  
  

Role Logistics & Process Details:

• Work model: Hybrid, minimum 3 days onsite. Onsite from day 1.
• Approved locations: Newark, DE (5-016-01-03) and Addison, TX (8-044-02-18).
• Start window: May or June. Interviews: 1-2 rounds.
• Glider assessment with ID verification required.
• Submission guidance: Max 3 candidates per vendor. Resume bucket supports 2 roles.
