Kforce has a client in Boston, MA that is seeking a Backend Developer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend Java applications
- Build and enhance services using Spring and Spring Boot
- Deploy and support applications running on JBoss (or similar application servers)
- Work with relational databases to design and optimize data models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application functionality
- Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning
- Support ongoing modernization initiatives, including increased adoption of Spring Boot
- Strong experience with Java backend development
- Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot
- Experience deploying applications on JBoss
- Experience with WebSphere or WebLogic is also acceptable
- Solid experience with relational databases (SQL Server or similar RDBMS)
- Backend-focused development background
- Java
- Spring, Spring Boot
- JBoss (preferred)
- WebSphere/WebLogic (acceptable alternatives)
- SQL Server
- Other standard RDBMS
- AWS (frequently used in the environment)
- Angular is used by other teams but not a priority for this role
- This position is almost entirely backend
- Experience working in AWS environments
- Familiarity with cloud-based deployment and services
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications
