Job Title: Backend Developer - Java, Spark, Glue
Location: McLean, VA - Hybrid (3 days onsite 2 days remote)
Duration: Long term contract
Contract Type: W2 (NO C2C or C2H)
Visa: USCEAD/EAD/L2EAD/ H1 transfer
MUST HAVE: JAVA, AWS GLUE, SPARK, ETL, DynamoDB
if you dont have Java, GLUE and Apache Spark will not consider
Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience required
Required Skills & Qualifications:
8 10 years of experience in back-end engineering or data engineering roles.
Very strong Java development experience including multithreading, collections, performance tuning, and API development.
Hands-on experience with Apache Spark (RDD/DataFrame API, tuning, partitioning).
Strong ETL development background (custom ETL or Glue-based ETL).
Experience with AWS services: AWS Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, DynamoDB
Experience with distributed systems architecture, serverless design, and event-driven workflows.
Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD tools, and Agile development.
