Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Data / Solution Architect to design and govern scalable, secure, and cloud-native data architectures. The ideal candidate will transform business and analytics requirements into robust data solutions using modern data platforms like Snowflake and dbt.
This role requires strong expertise in handling large-scale, complex datasets and building reliable, enterprise-grade data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design scalable and cost-efficient Snowflake-based data architectures
- Define standardized frameworks for data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and consumption
- Develop end-to-end solution blueprints including data flows, lineage, and integrations
- Establish and govern data contracts (schema, SLAs, validation, evolution)
- Lead conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling (SqlDBM, dbt)
- Build modular, reusable dbt models with testing and CI/CD practices
- Implement data quality, observability, and metadata-driven validation
- Design and manage pipelines using tools like Airflow, Jenkins, etc.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and access control standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor data engineers/analysts
- Strong AWS Cloud experience (Must Have)
- Proven experience working with large and complex datasets
- Experience in at least one large-scale cloud modernization project
- Expertise in Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
- Hands-on experience with ELT/ETL and dbt (models, macros, testing, CI/CD)
- Strong knowledge of Data Vault & Dimensional Modeling
- Advanced SQL skills
- Experience with data contracts and governance frameworks
- Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow, Jenkins) and Git workflows
- Experience with analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in Pharma / Biotech / Healthcare domain
- Bachelor’s Degree 4 years of IT experience OR
- 10 years of relevant IT experience (in lieu of degree)
- Experience with Data Vault 2.0
- Knowledge of Iceberg, external tables, and data catalogs
- Exposure to cloud-native/platform engineering practices
Salary : $140,000 - $210,000
