Akkodis is seeking an AV Driver for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX. The ideal candidatebrings the advanced driving expertise required for autonomous vehicle testing while performing critical responsibilities such as executing daily test missions and documenting technical feedback to support engineering teams.
Rate Range: $26/hour to $28/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

The ideal candidatebrings the advanced driving expertise required for autonomous vehicle testing while performing critical responsibilities such as executing daily test missions and documenting technical feedback to support engineering teams.

AV Driver job responsibilities include:
- Conduct daily autonomous vehicle test missions, including pre?trip inspections, system calibrations, and safe operation across public roads and closed tracks.
- Execute defined test cases in?vehicle, install required software, and operate in both driver and test operator roles as assigned.
- Monitor, collect, and upload vehicle logs/data while documenting issues and providing clear feedback to engineering and Drive Ops teams.
- Troubleshoot AV systems, follow TOH guidelines, and collaborate with developers to support autonomous testing plans.
- Communicate findings effectively to cross?functional teams and support daily coordination to ensure data integrity and operational readiness.
- Travel as needed, work flexible schedules, and maintain safety?first standards while adapting to evolving test requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent hands?on experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in technical operations, vehicle testing, or autonomous vehicle environments.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/QNX environments with basic shell scripting and hardware interface familiarity.
- Demonstrated ability to execute test plans, document findings, and collaborate effectively with engineering and operations teams.
