Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to support the development and testing of next-generation reactor technology and complex electrical systems. The engineer will be responsible for creating testing strategies, performing validation and confirmation testing, and supporting the development of advanced technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, schedule, and perform engineered tests for new technology solutions to meet customer, design, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop strategies for confirmation and validation testing of advanced systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and technical experts.
- Analyze technical problems and drive logical solutions through structured problem-solving.
- Identify, document, and help resolve technical risks within projects.
- Prepare and present technical findings to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Work closely with technicians to assemble fixtures, prepare testing facilities, and conduct specialized testing.
- Develop manual and automated production test procedures to ensure reliability and functionality.
- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians during testing activities.
- Occasionally travel domestically or internationally for project or supplier meetings.
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience testing complex electrical or electro-mechanical systems.
- Experience working with FPGA-based systems.
- Experience using automated test systems and writing automated test programs.
- Strong programming skills in C, Python, LabVIEW, or LabWindows.
- Strong knowledge of system verification and validation testing.
- Experience with measurement instrumentation such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Strong knowledge of measurement devices and calibration processes.
- Experience testing new product designs or advanced technologies.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent teamwork, coordination, and communication skills.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong desire to learn and expand technical skills.
