- ECAD Expertise & Automation (Altium & Cadence/Allegro Focus):
- 10 years of experience in PCB design and ECAD tool development, with primary experience in Altium Designer and Cadence Allegro, System Capture.
- 10 years of experience in application support and tool development for custom processes and features across both Altium and Cadence Allegro.
- 10 years of experience in utilizing automation scripts (VBA, Altium Scripts/API, Cadence SKILL, Python) to automate the PCB design process, including tasks such as Design Rule Checks (DRCs), fabrication output (fab out), and End-of-Life (EOL) checks.
- Deep experience with scripting/API for layout efficiency improvements, schematic automation/checking,
- Experience with Python scripting, including pandas data frames and Python unit testing.
- VBA, Altium Delphi Scripts/API, Cadence SKILL, Python)
- Experience using Git or GitHub for version control.
- Familiarity with Google style Python linter.
- 5 years of experience in maintaining ECAD tool databases and servers to prevent service outages and serve as the main contact for infrastructure-related issues.
- This role is for an ECAD automation expert focused on developing custom solutions and tool development to increase efficiency and support the entire Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) design process, with a specialization in Altium Designer , Cadence Allegro and System Capture. The engineer will be responsible for creating and utilizing automation scripts to ensure designs meet all requirements, from schematic capture to production, across both ECAD platforms.
