About The Role
We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Specialist to join a dynamic infrastructure team in Rochester, NY. This is a hands-on contract opportunity where you will take ownership of drafting, drawing, and design work within a group of infrastructure project managers and cable plant engineers - freeing the team to focus on their core project delivery responsibilities.
Beyond the technical work itself, you will play a key role in building the team's AutoCAD capabilities, serving as a go-to resource and informal trainer for colleagues looking to sharpen their skills.
What You'll Be Doing
- Producing accurate and detailed AutoCAD drawings, drafts, and designs in support of infrastructure projects
- Collaborating closely with project managers and cable plant engineers to understand and translate project requirements into technical drawings
- Educating and training team members on AutoCAD tools, workflows, and best practices
- Identifying opportunities to improve drafting processes and standards across the team
- Proven experience with AutoCAD in a professional setting
- Background in infrastructure technology or electrical engineering strongly preferred
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a broader project team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
