Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Audio-Video Technician to support installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of AV systems across conference rooms, collaboration spaces, event areas, and corporate facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AV hardware, video conferencing platforms, and network-connected AV systems.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Setup
- Install, configure, and test AV equipment including projectors, displays, speakers, microphones, amplifiers, cameras, and control systems.
- Set up conference rooms, digital signage, and video conferencing systems (Zoom, Teams, WebEx).
- Perform cable management, rack mounting, wiring, and system integration.
- Provide onsite technical support for meetings, presentations, events, and town halls.
- Troubleshoot AV issues including audio distortion, video lag, connectivity, and control system problems.
- Support hybrid meetings and ensure seamless audio and video quality.
- Maintain AV inventory and documentation.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
- Update firmware, apply patches, and support AV network configurations.
- Work closely with IT, Facilities, and external vendors to support new installations or upgrades.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on AV equipment usage.
- Assist with planning and designing AV solutions for new office spaces.
- 3–5 years of AV Technician experience in corporate or enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of AV systems: displays, projectors, audio mixers, DSPs, switchers, amplifiers, microphones, AV-over-IP.
- Experience with platforms such as Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Cisco WebEx.
- Hands-on experience with Crestron, AMX, Extron, or similar control systems.
- Proficient in troubleshooting audio, video, and network-related issues.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to support senior executives.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders when required.
