Associate Systems Analyst

Hybrid 3 days per week in Greater Boston Area

Pay: $40 - $47.00 p/hr

12 monts contract to hire

Our client is seeking an Associate Systems Analyst to support analysis, documentation, and delivery of technology solutions across multiple business lines. This role partners closely with senior analysts, project teams, and end-users to ensure requirements are clearly captured, systems are effectively tested, and technology enhancements align with organizational best practices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working across cross-functional teams in a structured SDLC environment.

Job Description:

• Partner with project managers, product managers, SMEs, and business stakeholders to gather, document, validate, and manage traceable requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Assist with change management efforts across delivery stages, ensuring proper documentation, communication, and readiness.
• Coordinate functional testing activities including test planning, test case creation, UAT execution, defect management, and tester training.
• Provide consistent testing status updates to maintain transparency around progress, risks, escalations, and defect resolution.
• Support system documentation, configuration updates, and workflow development to ensure accuracy and alignment with business needs.
• Work with internal teams to ensure technology improvements follow established best practices and SDLC standards.
• Build and maintain use cases, tasks, and workflows in tools such as Jira.
• Identify routine issues, document findings, collaborate with senior team members on resolutions, and support ongoing operational improvements.
• Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business units, ensuring requirements are understood and solutions deliver meaningful value.
• Support training initiatives for end-users as applications, workflows, or systems change.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3 years of experience in a systems analysis or similar technical/business analysis role.
• Experience within regulated industries or financial environments preferred.
• Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, and Lean process improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Proficiency with business applications and tools such as MS Office Suite, Visio, Azure DevOps, Salesforce, Copado, and Jira.
