Assembly Technician Job Responsibilities:
- Interpret technical drawings, work orders, and assembly instructions to build components, subassemblies, and finished products.
- Assemble, adjust, and repair parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Perform quality inspections, functional testing, and measurements to ensure products meet specifications.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and correct defects or assembly issues to maintain product quality and performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in alignment with 5S principles.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of required PPE.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality personnel to resolve production and assembly issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, efficiency, and production processes.
- Document work activities and communicate issues that may impact production or quality.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based manufacturing environment.
- Strong manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive, precision tasks.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required.
- Prior experience in precision assembly, manufacturing, aerospace, semiconductor, or advanced technology environments.
- Experience in cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement practices.
- Experience with electromechanical assemblies or high-precision components.
