Akkodis is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Specialist for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate is responsible for building and optimizing AI systems, designing orchestration frameworks, and ensuring high-quality model performance across enterprise platforms.
Rate Range: $65/hour to $75/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Artificial Intelligence Specialist Job Responsibilities include:
- Design and develop AI/ML models, including fine-tuning LLMs on Google Cloud Vertex AI for enterprise use cases.
- Build and maintain orchestration frameworks to integrate AI engines with internal platforms and services.
- Evaluate model performance using defined metrics such as accuracy, latency, and effectiveness, and drive continuous improvements.
- Implement MLOps practices including model versioning, monitoring, drift detection, and automated retraining workflows.
- Collaborate with data engineering and cloud teams to ensure data quality, feature engineering, and secure model deployment.
- Develop internal tools and documentation to support model governance, compliance, and scalability across AI platforms.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in machine learning engineering, AI systems development, or applied AI research.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Vertex AI) and LLM fine-tuning, with experience in building orchestration frameworks and applying MLOps practices.
- Proven experience in Python-based ML development (TensorFlow/PyTorch), model evaluation, and designing scalable AI solutions with strong understanding of data governance and enterprise AI integration.
Pay Details: $65.00 to $75.00 per hour
