Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX. This is a 12 month contract position.
Responsibilities:
- Support / develop operations team and interact with internal as well as external tech and production support and middleware teams
- Work closely with the business team
- Strong experience working in Production Support / DevOps team. Experience in ETL, Bigdata- Hadoop, SQL, Spark, Unix, Hive, Impala, Data warehousing, scheduling tools and scripting
- Strong experience in Spark development, performance optimization and troubleshooting
- Strong data and code analysis skills (troubleshooting data quality/integrity, root causes)
- Hadoop troubleshooting from a production support perspective like query/resource optimization, job optimization techniques
- Understanding of incident management, cluster maintenance tasks and exposure to disaster recovery practice
