Genesis10 is currently seeking a Mule/Spring Developer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Addison, TX. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

This role involves analyzing existing MuleSoft flows and transforming them into Spring-based equivalents. The ideal candidate will build RESTful APIs, develop high-quality, maintainable code, and contribute to integration architecture decisions. The position requires a strong focus on performing vulnerability remediations and ensuring all services align with enterprise governance and security guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze existing MuleSoft flows, connectors, RAML/API specs, error-handling patterns, and transform them into Spring-based equivalents
• Understand and perform vulnerability remediations across various mule components and Spring boot APIs, including SQL injection, Xpath injection, cross-site and server-side request forgery, and Authentication
• Build RESTful APIs, pipelines for synchronoasynchronous flows, and reusable integration components
• Develop high-quality, maintainable, testable code following modern engineering practices
• Contribute to integration architecture decisions and propose improvements to system reliability, performance, and scalability
• Establish standards for logging, exception handling, API design, and message exchange patterns
• Ensure all services align with enterprise governance, CI/CD pipelines, security, and cloud deployment guidelines
• Partner closely with architects, MuleSoft developers, business SMEs, QA, and DevOps teams
• Provide technical mentorship to junior developers on Spring Integration concepts
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and architecture discussions
  
  

Requirements:

• 7 years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot and core Spring ecosystem
• 3 years designing and implementing solutions using Spring Integration (DSL, channels, transformers, routers, gateways)
• Strong Java development background
• Strong background in enterprise integration patterns (EIP)
• Hands-on experience with MuleSoft 4.x, especially Mule 4.4: Experience analyzing Mule flows, DataWeave transformations, connectors, and API specifications
• Proficiency with messaging platforms such as Kafka, ActiveMQ / RabbitMQ, and JMS-compatible systems
• Strong experience with API development, RESTful services, and microservice architecture
• Solid hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with unit testing and integration testing frameworks: JUnit, Mockito, Spring Test, TestContainers, WireMock
• Experience with containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
  
  

Desired skills:

• Prior experience migrating from MuleSoft to Spring Integration, Camel, or other Java-based integration frameworks
• Knowledge of Spring Cloud Gateway or API gateway frameworks
• Experience with performance tuning of integration services
• Understanding of security frameworks (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS)
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence without authority
• Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  
  

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
