Position Summary:
- Systems Administrator Senior
- Client is seeking an experienced Appian Administrator to support and lead the migration of Appian applications from an on-prem Linux environment to AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
- The ideal candidate has hands-on experience administering Appian environments, managing deployments, and working closely with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to design, implement, and stabilize containerized Appian solution in AWS.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Appian Administration (version 21.x or later).
- Proven Appian containerization experience using Kubernetes (EKS).
- Strong background in migration projects, particularly Appian on-prem to AWS EKS.
- Experience with database migration from DB2 to PostgreSQL.
- Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up Kubernetes clusters and supporting the Appian migration process.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills are essential.
- Background in mortgage is preferred but not required.

- The whole point for this role is to migrate from Linux system to another system i.e. cloud AWS/Kubernetes.

- 5 plus years of experience as an Appian Administrator (versions 21.x or later)
- Proven experience migrating Appian from on-prem to containerized/cloud environments (preferably AWS EKS).
- Strong understanding of Linux administration, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and AWS services (ECR, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).
- Experience integrating Appian with enterprise services (LDAP, SSO, SMTP, database, secrets management).
- Kubernetes pods, Webhooks/Controllers.
- Familiarity with Appian automation, deployment pipelines (CI/CD), and plugin management.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Experience working with EFS, ASM (Amazon secret manager), Appian operator/CRD.
- CloudFormation Templates, Terraform.
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
- Exposure to Hashicorp Vault or CyberArk, Elastic for secrets management.
- Familiarity with Goldfield/Private cloud environments or large enterprise cloud migration projects.
- Appian administration or DevOps certification is a plus..
