The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Ansible Automation Platform, infrastructure-as-code, and containerized environments (e.g. OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker) with AWS experience as a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a skilled Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) engineer/architect to design, implement, and optimize automation solutions across a modern, containerized infrastructure. This role emphasizes platform engineering, architecture, and operational excellence rather than development alone. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Ansible Automation Platform, infrastructure-as-code, and containerized environments (e.g. OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker) with AWS experience as a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy and manage Ansible Automation Platform clusters in a containerized ecosystem.
- Define and implement automation strategies, governance and standards across infrastructure and operations teams.
- Integrate AAP with enterprise systems for authentication, inventory and CI/CD workflows.
- Build and manage scalable, reliable and secure automation architectures.
- Collaborate with DevOps, platform, and cloud teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
- Troubleshoot and optimize platform performance, automation workflows, and underlying infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance and best practices for automation adoption.
- Proven experience with Ansible Automation Platform (Tower/AWX) engineering or architecture.
- Strong understanding of container orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with Linux systems administration and automation at scale.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and configuration management concepts.
- Experience with scripting languages for automation support.
- Experience designing or managing AAP in AWS or hybrid cloud environments.
- Knowledge of GitOps, Terraform, or CloudFormation for automation.
- Exposure to enterprise-scale operations and multi-team collaboration.
- Red Hat certifications are a plus.
