Unison Systems is seeking an AI / ML Solutions Architect to join our client's team in the Denver Tech Center (DTC).
This is a 6-month hybrid contract with potential to extend. The role is positioned for a senior-level architect with deep expertise in AI/ML, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems design.

Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver end-to-end AI/ML solutions, including data pipelines, model deployment patterns, and inference serving layers
- Architect cloud-native solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, translating business requirements into scalable and secure infrastructure
- Lead the design of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures aligned with domain-driven design and modern patterns
- Establish DevOps practices including CI/CD pipeline design, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation using Terraform or CloudFormation
- Implement observability strategies with logging, metrics, and distributed tracing
- Design secure architectures incorporating zero-trust principles, threat modeling, secrets management, and compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA)
- Collaborate with engineering, security, product, and leadership teams to ensure solutions meet performance, reliability, and strategic requirements
- Validate architectural decisions through hands-on prototyping and engineering work
- 5 years of architecture experience designing enterprise-scale systems
- Deep expertise in AI/ML solutions architecture, including model deployment, frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), and integration patterns
- Strong proficiency across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform with demonstrated multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud architecture experience
- Solid foundation in distributed systems, microservices, APIs (REST/gRPC), and asynchronous messaging patterns
- Hands-on experience with at least one programming language (Python, Node.js, or Go) for prototyping and validation
- Expertise in DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation
- Comprehensive understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, secrets management, and compliance frameworks
- Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry) and automated testing for infrastructure and applications
- AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect certification preferred
