Genesis10 is currently seeking an AI Content Optimization Engineer for a contract position with a Major Financial Services Company located in Milwaukee, WI. This is a 9 month contract opportunity.
Pay range: $56 - $66 per Hour
As a technical contributor, this role supports the modernization of People (HR) content for AI-powered experiences. The position focuses on the hands-on design and implementation of content optimization pipelines, metadata standards, retrieval architectures, and evaluation mechanisms to improve AI accuracy, trust, and employee self-service outcomes. The engineer will partner with Architecture, Digital Experience, AI Architects, Engineering, Legal, and Security to transform unstructured HR content into AI-ready, governed, and measurable knowledge assets.

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design and implementation of pipelines that ingest, normalize, and structure HR content for AI retrieval
- Transform unstructured documents (policies, SOPs, FAQs, guides) into structured or semi-structured formats suitable for parsing, chunking, and indexing
- Apply semantic chunking, embedding generation, and version-aware indexing techniques to support accurate and traceable AI responses
- Support deduplication, lineage tracking, and content freshness controls across the People content corpus
- Partner with cross-functional teams to apply standardized metadata schemas, tagging models, and content classification rules
- Support implementation of information architecture and authoring standards that improve consistency and machine readability
- Translate governance decisions into system-enforced rules, validation checks, and pipeline constraints
- Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, and IT Security partners to ensure AI-enabled content handling follows organizational policies
- Execute retrieval quality testing using golden question sets and human review rubrics
- Analyze precision, recall, answer faithfulness, and coverage to identify pipeline or content improvements
- Instrument logging and observability for query behavior, top failed intents, index freshness, and privacy audits
- Support pilot launches and controlled rollouts of AI-enabled HR content experiences
- Contribute to training materials, runbooks, and enablement assets for content authors and support teams
- Hands-on experience contributing to AI-ready content or retrieval systems in an enterprise environment
- Strong working knowledge of Information architecture and content structuring
- Strong working knowledge of Metadata, taxonomy, and content classification
- Strong working knowledge of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) or enterprise search concepts
- Experience applying semantic chunking, embeddings, and indexing techniques
- Familiarity with privacy-safe AI patterns, including permissions, PII handling, and auditability
- Proven ability to work as a lead contributor in matrixed, cross-functional teams
- Experience with vector search, AI evaluation metrics, or content health monitoring
- Exposure to governance operating models and standards adoption
- Strong documentation and communication skills to translate technical work into shared understanding
