Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and launch of new assembly lines for electric or mechanical systems.
- Define assembly processes, line layouts, workstation flows, and tooling requirements.
- Partner with design engineering to optimize products for manufacturability.
- Manage suppliers, equipment specifications, procurement, and validation.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and ramp-up of new lines to meet performance targets.
- Prepare PFMEAs, control plans, work instructions, and validation documents.
- Support prototype builds, pre-production trials, and production launch.
- Ensure compliance with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, safety, and ergonomic standards.
- Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and process optimization.
- 5 years in assembly process development/manufacturing engineering.
- Proven track record in launching new assembly lines (automotive powertrain or similar).
- Strong knowledge of assembly methods, ergonomics, error-proofing, and tooling.
- Familiarity with APQP, PFMEA, PPAP, IATF, and ISO standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
- Hands-on, comfortable on the manufacturing floor with global teamwork experience.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma/Red X training a plus.
- Willingness to travel for supplier meetings, equipment buy-offs, and on-site launch support.
