This role is critical for supporting business strategy through predictive modeling, pricing, and reserving, with a particular focus on State Filing and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Actuarial Analysis: Conduct advanced risk evaluation, reserving, and pricing across various P&C insurance portfolios.
- Regulatory Compliance: Manage State Filing processes and coordinate with the Department of Insurance (DOI) for personal lines of insurance.
- Predictive Modeling: Utilize mathematical and statistical techniques to develop models that support fact-based business decision-making.
- Data Engineering: Develop analysis queries and procedures using Python and SQL to connect external data insights to specific business problems.
- Strategic Reporting: Communicate complex actuarial solutions and financial planning analytics to both technical stakeholders and non-technical business leaders.
- Visualization: Design data visualizations to track portfolio performance and predictive accuracy.
- Mandatory Credentials: Must hold an ACAS (Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society) or FCAS (Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society) designation.
- Industry Experience: 5 years of related actuarial business analytical experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance.
- Technical Stack: Intermediate proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and procedure development.
- Domain Expertise: Proven competency in P&C actuarial methodologies, pricing, and reserving.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Math, or Statistics (relevant experience may be substituted).
- Hands-on experience with State Filings and DOI interactions for personal lines.
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization and industry-specific data methods.
Salary : $61
