We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable / Collections Supervisor to lead and support a team of AR clerks while actively managing collections. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance supervisory responsibilities with individual contributor duties, ensuring efficient collections processes and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise daily activities of Accounts Receivable (A/R) clerks
- Train, mentor, and support team members to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to improve productivity
- Promote teamwork and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
- Manage assigned accounts and perform collections activities
- Handle complex or escalated accounts and negotiate payment resolutions
- Monitor customer accounts and maintain accurate records
- Oversee credit holds, COD accounts, and payment terms
- Organize workflow and delegate tasks for efficient department operations
- Oversee monthly statement distribution and month-end close processes
- Ensure accuracy in data entry, reconciliation, and reporting
- Monitor compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Work closely with the Credit Manager on team development and goals
- Provide updates and reports on collections performance and aging
- Support process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives
- Associate degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- 3 5 years of Accounts Receivable / Collections experience
- Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, data analysis)
- Experience in reconciliation and month-end processes
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to lead or supervise a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Bachelor s degree in accounting/finance
- Experience with SAP S/4 HANA or AS400 systems
- Knowledge of Nevada liquor laws
- Experience handling high-volume collections and complex accounts
