Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with a strong background in accounting and actuarial systems. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements while working closely with Agile teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Lead requirement-gathering sessions with business stakeholders and document detailed business needs
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
- Collaborate with Agile teams to create and refine user stories (JIRA)
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure quality standards are met
- Assist in incident and defect management for both project and production environments
- Support process improvements and standardization across projects
- Work with data using SQL, SAS, R, or Python as needed
- Assist in system modernization initiatives, including cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS)
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues and bugs
- Support production processes and ongoing system enhancements
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Knowledge of insurance domain concepts (policy lifecycle, billing, claims, reinsurance, reporting)
- Proficiency in:
- SQL
- Advanced Excel
- Reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience with data modeling, APIs, and system integrations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (root cause analysis, process improvement)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project coordination
- Experience in prioritization, risk management, and change control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Strong documentation and presentation skills
