Seeking a Senior Azure Data Engineer with strong experience in enterprise data warehouse development, cloud-based data integration, and advanced analytics solutions. This role will support large-scale healthcare and enterprise reporting initiatives through the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of modern data platforms and pipelines.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with Azure data technologies, ETL development, data modeling, and Power BI reporting solutions in a complex enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and build modern data pipelines and data streaming solutions
- Develop and maintain enterprise data warehouse architectures and database solutions
- Create Star, Snowflake, and Galaxy schema data models
- Perform ETL development, validation, and optimization activities
- Develop and maintain Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines and ETL processes
- Integrate data from multiple sources into Azure Synapse Analytics environments
- Develop technical architecture and analytics solutions for enterprise reporting needs
- Expose data to end users through Power BI, APIs, and modern visualization platforms
- Monitor and optimize data loads, queries, and reporting performance
- Troubleshoot data integrity and data quality issues
- Support secure data integrations, including PGP key management and Azure Key Vault administration
- Support enterprise analytics and reporting initiatives involving healthcare and operational datasets
- Assist with implementation of monitoring, metrics, and operational support processes
- Participate in status meetings, documentation, knowledge transfer, and technical collaboration efforts
- Strong experience with enterprise data warehouse design and implementation
- Experience developing ETL processes and modern data pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics
- Experience with relational and non-relational database technologies
- Strong SQL development and database optimization experience
- Experience creating Star, Snowflake, and Galaxy schema models
- Experience with Power BI and enterprise reporting solutions
- Experience designing and implementing cloud-based analytics platforms
- Experience troubleshooting data integration and data quality issues
- Strong understanding of API integrations and modern data access methods
- Experience with Azure Key Vault and secure data management practices
- Ability to work independently in a collaborative enterprise environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting healthcare or government enterprise systems
- Experience with advanced analytics and large-scale reporting environments
- Experience with data streaming technologies
- Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance environments
- Experience supporting Azure-based GenAI or AI/ML related initiatives
- Experience implementing monitoring and operational metrics for enterprise platforms
- Knowledge of modern cloud architecture best practices
- Experience working in Agile or enterprise SDLC environments
- Candidates may be required to complete background screening and fingerprinting requirements
- Candidates must be comfortable working in a highly regulated enterprise environment
