This role will lead data conversion strategy, database architecture, and technical execution to ensure data integrity, performance, and successful system transition.

Seeking a Senior Technical Lead to support a large-scale data modernization initiative involving migration from legacy systems to a modern platform. This role will lead data conversion strategy, database architecture, and technical execution to ensure data integrity, performance, and successful system transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning and execution of enterprise data conversion activities from legacy systems to modern platforms
- Analyze existing data structures and define data mapping, transformation, and migration strategies
- Design and implement data conversion processes, including ETL workflows and data validation procedures
- Develop and optimize Oracle database solutions to support migration and ongoing operations
- Create and maintain technical documentation including data conversion rules, test scripts, and status reporting
- Perform data quality analysis, cleansing, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business requirements
- Provide leadership and guidance to technical team members throughout the project lifecycle
- Support testing efforts including unit testing, system testing, and data validation
- Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues related to data migration and database functionality
- Minimum 8 years of experience aligning IT systems with business processes, including at least 5 years in a lead capacity
- Strong experience leading data conversion or data migration efforts on complex systems
- Experience working with legacy data environments and modernizing data platforms
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with:
- Data mapping, ETL processes, and data quality management
- Oracle databases (modern versions preferred)
- PL/SQL development including stored procedures and performance tuning
- Database modeling (logical and physical)
- Experience developing technical documentation for data conversion and migration activities
- Prior experience supporting large-scale enterprise or government IT projects
- Experience working with legacy mainframe or similar data environments
- Experience with data extraction, transformation, and large dataset processing
- Familiarity with data formats such as CSV, spreadsheets, and data replication methods
- Relevant certifications in data management or project management
- Position requires working onsite during standard business hours
- Must be able to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders
- Strong communication and leadership skills are essential
